Dear Friend,
Are you afflicted with any form of hepatitis? Do you have anyone who is a victim of this ailment and is seeking immediate remedy? Below is how Mr. Stephen was able to fight hepatitis despite his negligence and ignorance.
Introduction
Hepatitis B is an infection which affects the most important organ of the body (the liver),it is caused on being exposed to the HBV (Hepatitis B virus), soon after the hepatitis B virus (HBV) enters the body, it infects cells in the liver called hepatocytes. In response to this infection, the immune system tries to destroy the virus. The liver participates in this fight by increasing the amount of enzymes it manufactures, which causes inflammation of the liver (hepatitis).
The initial infection is known as acute hepatitis B, meaning short-term inflammation of the liver. Most people are able to clear hepatitis B from the body within six months of becoming infected. If they clear it, they are no longer infected, nor can they infect others. Additionally, they now have hepatitis B antibodies, which will protect them from future reinfection.
Viral hepatitis is one of the biggest public health threats of our lifetime. Globally, over 300 million people are living with chronic hepatitis B or hepatitis C. In 2016, the federal government declared that over 22.6 million Nigerians are infected with hepatitis, making it many times more common than HIV. Devastatingly, it is responsible for 1 in 12 of all cancer deaths each year.

People with chronic hepatitis B and C are encouraged to avoid alcohol because it can accelerate liver disease and failure. Many people with hepatitis have financial problems and cannot afford to purchase expensive organic foods and indeed this is not necessary. As long as you purchase fresh fruits and vegetables that are in season and consume these regularly you will achieve the desired result in improving your liver function and your immune system.
CAUSES OF HEPATITIS
(1) Sharing of infected syringes
(2) Sexual contact with the infected individuals
(3) Transmission from mother to child during birth
(4) Sharing infected toothbrush, razor and other sharp instrument
(5) Not applying sterilized tools for piercing tattooing and others
Symptoms of hepatitis b
If you have infectious forms of hepatitis that are chronic, like hepatitis B and C, you may not have symptoms in the beginning. Symptoms may not occur until the damage affects liver function. These signs and symptoms include:
(1) fatigue
(2) flu-like symptoms
(3) dark urine
(4) pale stool
(5) abdominal pain
(6) loss of appetite
(7) unexplained weight loss
(8) yellow skin and eyes, which may be signs of jaundice
Complications of hepatitis
Chronic hepatitis B or C can often lead to more serious health problems. Because the virus affects the liver, people with chronic hepatitis B or C are at risk of:
(1) chronic liver disease
(2) cirrhosis
(3) liver cancer
Complications of liver failure
When your liver stops functioning normally, liver failure can occur. Complications of liver failure include:
(1) bleeding disorders
(2) a buildup of fluid in your abdomen, known as ascites
(3) increased blood pressure in portal veins that enter your liver, known as portal hypertension
(4) kidney failure
(5) hepatic encephalopathy, which can involve fatigue, memory loss, and diminished mental abilities due to the buildup of toxins, like ammonia, that affect brain function
(6) hepatocellular carcinoma, which is a form of liver cancer
(7) death
The Liver
The liver is the largest gland in the body, as well as the only organ that can reproduce itself if part of it is eliminated.
The functions of the liver:
(1) Production of the bile that is accumulated in the gall bladder ( pear shaped muscular sac under the liver). Bile is necessary for digesting fats by emulsifying them into little bubbles, which may later be absorbed.
(2) Help bile absorb vitamins A, D, E & K and calcium.
(3) Accumulate the excess of vitamins A, B12 & D for future use.
(4) Help in the synthesis of fatty acids and sugars as well as in the production of cholesterol and in the oxidation of fats to produce energy.
(5) Produce fat from foods that the body does not use, fat that later is transported through the blood and accumulated as a body fat (in the stomach and other areas).
(6) Control blood sugar, acting on the hormone thyroxin , responsible for cellular metabolism.
(7) Convert excess sugar in the body into glycogen (glucose) and store it, to be recovered into sugar when the body needs energy.
The thing is that all types of hepatitis are transmitted mainly through infected foods or through blood. Being an infectious disease, any form of hepatitis can lead to liver damage. The degree of severity and the rate of progression of the disease may vary. The most dangerous condition for human life which results in the greatest number of complications is Hepatitis B. It is the most difficult to treat. However, it is not necessary to turn only to the use of chemicals and various pills. After all, there are more simple ways. Always stay hydrated by getting enough fluid especially water throughout the day. Try as much as you can to reduce stress and try some mild exercise like walking and yoga.Avoid foods and drinks that may increase inflammation. Sugary foods, fried foods, dairy products, refined foods, saturated fats, processed foods and alcohol should be totally avoided.Eat more balanced diet, whole grains, fresh fruits and vegetables and maintain healthy weight. Finally, follow simple recommendations of supplements and apply change of lifestyle for the cure of hepatitis B.
